The Willacy County Navigation District - as of 6/11/2024 - is reissuing the the Water Restriction Notice at Stage 3. The instructions are in the image below and are written out underneath as well. Please follow these rules to help with the conservation of water.

Stage 3 – SEVERE WATER RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT
June 1, 2024
a.) Irrigation of lawns or landscaped area is prohibited.
b.) Use of water to wash any motor vehicle, motorbike, boat, trailer, or airplane is prohibited. At this time, vehicle washing may be done at any time on the immediate premises of a commercial carwash.
c.) Use of water to fill, refill or add to any indoor or outdoor pool or jacuzzi is prohibited except on designated days. Even numbers addresses on Sunday and Thursday and Odd number addresses on Saturday and Wednesday from 12:00 midnight until 10:00 a.m.
d.) Operation of any ornamental fountain except where necessary to support aquatic life is prohibited.
e.) Use of water from hydrants shall be limited to firefighting, related activities necessary to maintain public safety, health and welfare.
f.) All restaurants are prohibited from serving water to patrons except upon request.
g.) The following uses of water are defined as non-essential and are prohibited:
1. Washing down any sidewalk’s, walkways, driveways, Parking lots, tennis courts, or other hard surfaced areas;
2. Use of water to wash down building or structures for purposes for other than immediate fire protection;
3. Use of water for dust control;
4. Flushing gutters or permitting water to run or accumulate in any gutter or street and
5. Failure to repair a controllable leak(s) within a reasonable period after having been given notice directing the repair of such leak(s).
