About the Harbor Office
The Willacy County Navigation District operates an office at the harbor in Port Mansfield. The location is adjacent to the Port Mansfield Police Department offices on Laguna Drive. The offices house the SupervisoryTeam that oversees the daily operations and employees of both the Willacy County Navigation District and the Port Mansfield Public Utility District. These activities include but are not limited to Harbor Maintenance, Water Services, Sewer Services and Garbage Pickup. That Supervisory Team consists of the Port Superintendent, Frank Vasquez and the Harbormaster, Sue Nelson.
Lessees and transient customers can visit the office to discuss items of interest or concern, pay lease payments, pay utility payments and receive complimentary notary services. The Harbor Office is the initial responder to reports of environmental issues such as spills or unauthorized discharges. The Harbor Office makes every effort to ensure that local mariners are updated on their Port Mansfield Harbor OfficeFacebook Page to planned and unplanned utility interruptions, potential hazardous weather expected in the area and displays weather warning flags that reflect weather conditions broadcast by the National Weather Service.
